Lately, I’ve been really into cooking and serving shishito peppers as an appetizer to just about any meal. These little peppers are so quick and easy to make (seriously – like five minutes) and each batch you eat is like a game of Russian Roulette – one in eight tend to be extra spicy.
This barely necessitates a recipe, but here goes anyway. I hope you will enjoy the show! 😉
Ingredients
- 6 oz. shishito peppers (Trader Joes sells them in a bag)
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Heat up oil in a pan and throw the peppers in. Cover pan for 3-4 minutes while it cooks on high heat.
- Remove the cover and sprinkle the peppers with the salt. Give it a good toss – the peppers should be ‘blistering’ at this point.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Squeeze lemon over the peppers, toss in lemon juice and serve hot.
